RigCheck, a product of Sage Lane Strategies, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), provides a fire department apparatus check management platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Name, email address, and phone number (optional)
- Member number and department affiliation
- Role within your department (admin, officer, member, viewer)
Check Data
- Apparatus check submissions (pass/fail status, notes, timestamps)
- Deficiency reports and resolution records
- Photos uploaded during checks (stored securely in cloud storage)
- Vehicle mileage and engine hour readings
Operational Data
- Duty schedule assignments and rotation history
- Notification preferences and delivery logs
- Calendar integration tokens (for Google/Outlook sync)
Waitlist Information
- Email address and department name submitted via our waitlist form
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the RigCheck platform
- To manage apparatus check workflows and compliance tracking
- To send duty assignment notifications, reminders, and overdue alerts
- To generate department reports and analytics
- To notify waitlist members when the platform is available
- To respond to support requests
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth with secure session management. Photos are stored in encrypted cloud storage buckets with access controls.
We implement row-level security (RLS) policies to ensure members can only access data within their own department. System administrators have separate, audited access.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be shared with:
- Your department — Admins and officers in your department can view check data, schedules, and reports
- Infrastructure providers — Supabase (database/auth), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email delivery) process data on our behalf
- Legal requirements — If required by law, regulation, or legal process
5. Your Rights
- Access — You can view your profile and check history at any time
- Correction — You can update your profile information
- Deletion — Contact your department admin or us to request account deletion
- Export — Department admins can export check history as CSV
6. Guest Checks
Departments may enable guest check submissions via a shareable link. Guest checks collect the member name, member number, and check data provided during submission. No account is required for guest checks.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser local storage to save your session, theme preference, and in-progress check data (so you don't lose progress if you navigate away). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of RigCheck after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
