Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RigCheck, a product of Sage Lane Strategies, LLC. RigCheck is an apparatus check management platform for fire departments. By using RigCheck, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

RigCheck provides digital apparatus check management including checklist creation, check submission, deficiency tracking, duty scheduling, reporting, and notifications for fire departments and emergency services organizations.

2. Accounts and Access

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • Department administrators are responsible for managing member access and roles within their department
  • You must not share your account with others or use another member's account

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use RigCheck only for its intended purpose of managing fire department apparatus checks. You must not:

  • Submit false or misleading check data
  • Attempt to access data from departments you do not belong to
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from the platform

4. Data Ownership

Your department retains ownership of all check data, deficiency records, schedules, and other content submitted through RigCheck. We do not claim ownership of your data.

You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data as necessary to provide the service.

5. Department Responsibilities

Department administrators are responsible for:

  • Configuring apparatus checklists appropriate for their equipment
  • Managing member roles and access levels
  • Ensuring checks are completed according to their department's SOPs
  • Reviewing and resolving deficiency reports in a timely manner

6. Not a Substitute for Professional Standards

RigCheck is a tool to assist with apparatus check management. It does not replace manufacturer maintenance requirements, NFPA standards, ISO guidelines, or your department's standard operating procedures. Always follow applicable regulations and professional standards for apparatus maintenance and inspection.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any consequences of service downtime.

8. Limitation of Liability

RigCheck is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to equipment failures, missed checks, or data loss. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the service at any time. Upon termination, department admins may export their data before account closure. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
